Rogue One - Thumbs Up

I went to the first local showing of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I didn't want any spoilers to come my way and I knew that they would be coming at me if I waited for the weekend when I usually go to the movies. Paying the premium and ahead of time was a good decision. So I'm not going to ruin it for anyone else with important spoilers but I will say: Yes, some familiar characters make appearances. Technology is almost there where you can believe you are looking at the same person you saw almost 40 years ago.  A lot of the scenes in trailers were not in the movie. I would be interested in how many changes were made--how the story evolved during production. Now that I've seen how people have have rated this against other Star Wars movies, I would have to disagree with them. I would place this in the middle of the pack. From favorite to least: The Empire Strikes Back A New Hope Return of the Jedi Rogue One The Force Awakens Revenge of the Sith The Pha

I had a very good laugh with my coworker when she showed me her cup that she got from McDonald's this morning. It is supposed to be two mittens but she added a couple squiggle lines, turning it into a NSFW cup of coffee. I didn't realize at the time but apparently the internet has been going crazy over this. Normally I pride myself on keeping up with the trending memes out there. It was good to experience one first hand though.

Replacing your iPhone 6s Battery? Maybe call first.

My iPhone 6s suffers from unexpected shut downs. From what I can tell it happens when it is cold and when my battery has a good chunk of it expended. The last time this happened was yesterday when I was at the Reindeer Dog Parade in St. Joe. I had just under 70% left and my phone died. Once I got back to my car and plugged it in, it came right back. Apple is aware of the problem and has a battery replacement program for limited batches of iPhones—ones made around September and October of last year. My phone qualifies for a replacement so I made an appointment with my local Genius Bar at the direction of Apple’s own website. If you happen to have a qualifying iPhone 6s, go get that battery replacement but learn from my experience. Call the Apple Store and ask if they are going to be able to service your phone there at the time you go. It will save you a car trip. I made my appointment, drove forty minutes to Mishawaka (It was our first snow and you know how everyone freaks out), and

Reindeer Llamas

St. Joe had a parade of reindeer dogs and I joined my friend Stacey and her two boys up there to watch. It’s a short parade consisting of people dressing up their dogs in Christmas outfits and parading them down historical State Street.  Logan got ran over by a reindeer. 🎶 Unfortunately, there aren’t any pictures of dogs. I present to you llamas, however: I tried taking more pictures but my phone died even though I had about 70% charge. Turns out my iPhone suffers from a defect. Read about it here or here . I am taking it in tomorrow evening for service.
