Compliance
I got an email from HR telling me and a select number of other people to attend a training session. Except for a four letter acronym, I didn't have any clue as to what we were going to be training on. My guess was that it was going to be some new piece of software. I just looked it up and it's training for compliance with government regulations. Although I know I am going to be bored for those few hours, I look at this as a good thing in this respect: I must not be on the layoff list!
