My pants-no more than $55

Mr. Provis, this is for you.

DC Judge J. Bartnoff ruled against Judge Roy L. Pearson in his pants lawsuit against the Chung dry cleaners. Not only that but she also ruled that Judge Pearson has to pay the Chungs’ court fees. It remains to be seen, however, if Judge Pearson also has to pay the Chungs’ attorney.

In the news broadcast, the Chungs’ lawyer said that he expects Judge Pearson to appeal. My advice to Mr. Pearson is to take it like a man.

And of course the Chungs' lawyer couldn't possibly stand to gain anything by Pearson lodging an appeal, could he...? (although, to be fair to him, he must've taken the case knowing there's no way he would've gotten paid if they'd somehow lost the case, so he can't be all evil...)

I think this case is ridiculous! Isn't this man some type of judge himself? I think they should take away his liscense. It does not show he has very good character and can think and judge logically.

@John: I have no doubt that the family attorney has got dollar signs in his eyes. To ensure that he gets paid, his law firm even set up a website that you can donate to the Chungs. Nice guy! (Or am I being too cynical?)

@Season: Yes, he is an administrative judge and apparently he has a history of bringing suits up in court. Did you know he sued his ex-wife for spousal support? I don't know if he will be removed from the bench or the bar, but I would think that, at least, no one will want anything to do with him. Who knows, he may not even get reappointed.
