Holy Crap. Who Am I Working With?

I believe I wrote a post sometime last year or so about a former coworker, S.D.,that was involved with robbery which resulted in the death of the victim. From what I understand he was convicted of robbery and felony murder. His partner in crime was recently sentenced—55 years. S.D. will be sentenced later this month.

One year later…

A coworker was arrested in connection with a death of man in South Bend.

Read about it here and here.

The rumor is that some girl was being fought over. How my coworker was involved, I don’t know. All that we really knew was that he was arrested in connection. Charges were supposed to have been filed today but as of 10:30 this evening, I still haven’t seen anything more about it on the news.

I worked with this particular guy *ahem* when I was stationed at another part of the complex. From what I knew of him and how we interacted, he was nice. While it wouldn't surprise me to see him skirting the law, I never pictured him as being involved in something like this. It is, yes, a surprise.

I have been looking through some of the comments on the two articles I’ve linked to. I’m reading it with horrified amusement. What we have through the articles is scant information but as far as some of these people are concerned they should all be thrown in prison, raped, and then deported. Yeah, I especially like the insinuations that two of them are illegal aliens. Heaven forbid I have to start carrying my passport around just in case I'm mistaken for an illegal alien from Scandinavia based on my last name.

That's horrible...you just never know about people.

That's true. I'll be sure to post an update when I hear more. But for right now, Guy has been charged with murder.
