Scrambling for Cheap.

Aww crap. I forgot that I have a wedding to go to on Saturday. Okay I didn't forget Ed and Mandie's wedding but I did forget to budget some time and money for it. So I've got go get a gift and card for them tomorrow.

Breaking a leg is making broke. I've got two weddings to go to this month and I want to be more generous but I can't afford to. There is a good dose of humiliation as I think about the cheapest gifts I can get.

I hate this time of year. Every time I open my mail I find graduation announcements and wedding invitations, often for people I only know casually. While I wish these people well, I don't enjoy the feeling of being hit up for a gift.

Cheap doesn't automatically mean it's a bad gift. Some of my favourite possessions fall into the "Cheap Gift" category.

But then I don't suppose your friends would greet a sonic screwdriver with the same level of enthusiam I displayed. :-p

Yeah... I don't think that a sonic screwdriver would be appreciated. Maybe they would if it was real but then again, if I had a real sonic screwdriver I wouldn't give it away.
