Breaking a leg is making broke. I've got two weddings to go to this month and I want to be more generous but I can't afford to. There is a good dose of humiliation as I think about the cheapest gifts I can get.

I hate this time of year. Every time I open my mail I find graduation announcements and wedding invitations, often for people I only know casually. While I wish these people well, I don't enjoy the feeling of being hit up for a gift.
Cheap doesn't automatically mean it's a bad gift. Some of my favourite possessions fall into the "Cheap Gift" category.
But then I don't suppose your friends would greet a sonic screwdriver with the same level of enthusiam I displayed. :-p
Yeah... I don't think that a sonic screwdriver would be appreciated. Maybe they would if it was real but then again, if I had a real sonic screwdriver I wouldn't give it away.
