Bits

I’m not feeling a topic today so a number of things off the top of my head:

The Berrien County Youth Fair has started and will run 'till this Saturday. I’m not really in the mood this year to do more than a couple days. Besides, it’s hard to find someone that wants to go.

One of the things I find frustrating with my friends is being able to do something with them. Often times they don’t want to do things that I want to do. It’s rare that I turn down any of their suggestions. Are mine just that bad? I doubt it. I’m getting a little fed up having to work around their preferences. I miss Season because of this.

I wanted to go on two trips this summer. One to the Upper Peninsula and another to Kentucky. Both aren’t looking likely because, again, no one to do it with. I think that I will do a trip alone. I don’t know if that is just sad but I don’t want to miss out on seeing new places because other people can’t be bothered.

I’m starting to read the Federalist Papers. I’ve touched on them from time to time during my Poli Sci studies but there was never an occasion where I have read all the essays. Considering how important the U.S. Constitution is, I figured that it would broaden my understanding if I actually read the arguments in favor the new government.

I’m reading a gay murder mystery for my book club meeting. I’m only a few chapters in and if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m reading this for others, I’d have tossed it by now. I don’t know if the author was going for it but the book reeks of cheesiness. Perhaps most mystery books are like this? I wouldn’t know because other than the collected stories of Sherlock Holmes, I haven’t read much in that genre.

I think it may be time for my yearly run to White Castle. I’d better do it before my work place holds the next Biggest Loser competition. I’m determined to be the biggest loser!!!
