I thought you settled the time issue.

The time zone issue is being brought up again. See the WNDU article here. Supporters of Central Time won't let the hopes of hooking on to Chicago time die. Two St. Joseph County Commissioners wan the county to make the switch to the central time zone. St. Jospeh serves as the economic and media hub for the Michiana region so if it goes to Central, more than half of us are going to have to put on our thinking caps to figure out where we are and what time zone we are in.

A few years ago, Indiana had fairly complicated issue with time. Most of the state was on Eastern Standard Time but did not use Eastern Daylight Time. So for half of the year it was on Eastern Time and the other half it was on Central. Then there were the counties that were exceptions that were always hooked to central or to eastern and used daylight savings.

It looked like things had been settled when the clocks of Michiganders and most Hoosiers finally synched up. Now a couple idiots want to change it again. Just leave it be already! They claim that it would be better economically to synch up with Chicago than to stay synched with Michigan. But as anyone with a brain can tell you, most residents in these parts deal with Michigan more than they do with Chicago. I live in Michigan but work and shop in Indiana. The reverse is true for those living across the border. Chicago? I deal with that city for a couple days out of the year at most. I suspect that it is true for most St. Jospeh county residents too. So it would be nicer for us locals to be able to run around the Michiana area without having to figure out what time it is where we are going or where we are.

I now go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. *sigh*
You think that's stupid, there are some politicians in the UK that want the UK to move from GMT to CET. Well not all the UK just England and Wales. Scotland can remain on GMT due to less sunlight during winter, early mornings and children being knocked down etc. So, in theory they want the Prime Meridian to travel through London yet London to be 1 hour ahead of the Meridian. Make sense? Didn't think so

^Yes, it sounds very un-British to me. Of course, I just recently heard some brouhaha about the PM and "excessive" displaying of the Union Flag. Makes me wonder what is British.
