Outside the basin.

I live only miles away from the north-south continental divide. This is the intersection of Dayton and Buffalo and it is here that you can see the only part of Michigan that drains into the Mississippi. Well that might not be entirely true as there might be a small area at the Wisconsin-Michigan border but for the Lower Peninsula, this holds true. Also from this place you can view all the way into Indiana which is a couple miles away. Trucks traveling on the toll road can also be seen. Because of the flat and clear terrain, this area is great for stargazing. Only the lights of South Bend to the south east cause problems with viewing.
