What is with the freakin' rain?
After about a month of no rain-- at all, the skies have opened up for brief moments and poured water onto the ground. Not that I want to bitch about rain, but this is the rain that really isn't helping. What we need is a few days of slow and steady rain, not down pours that last for ten minutes. Rather than the ground soaking in the water, it just runs away.
