In a little blurb at WNDU, Chicago may host the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The 2016 Olympics are still 10 years away, but Chicago is one step closer to becoming a host city.

The US Olympic Committee announced its top three finalists to host the summer games.

Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco are all in the running.

I would be over the moon if the Olympics were headed my way.

I hope you're lucky. I've never been to Chicago (other than the airport) - but it did look beautiful from the air. San Francisco would be great, too. I've never been there, either. :( I'd love to. Hopefully, one day.

That's IF you're still living in that part of the country by then. 2016 is a loooong way away. You may be living the good life in San Diego in two years, getting your law degree and soaking up serious sun.

I hope I still live here, so I can rent out my apartment for a LOT of money to someone.

That would completely be awesome. I haven't been to Chicago since I was a child.
I would love to visit there--and see the city now that I'm "grown-up" enough to tour without supervision.

Minge and John: I haven't been to very many metro areas but I would have to say that Chicago is my favorite so far. I would highly recommend taking a trip but as always make sure to do some research. There are always small things to see.

Brian: True, but I would definately make the effort and attend. San Diego now that would be an excellent place to live.

Herb: Any chance I might get a discount? Assuming we still know each other then, of course.
