This Morning’s Sunrise

On my commute, there was a brilliant sunrise that was ringed with a faint rainbow. A column of light also rose up from the sun. By the time I neared work, the spectacle began to fade but you can get an idea of it from this. It is caused by suspended ice crystals.

That is gorgeous!!! I miss all of the snow that we used to get in Michigan. We are colder than a deep freeze but all we have is a slight dusting of snow.
