I feel a bit sorry for Obama, he has been made out to be this great hero and it will be hard for him to live up to that in these rough years ahead. Anyway exciting times for you guys today, you would almost think we elected him here in Canada as well with the way the news carried Obama all day on every station.
President Obama is coming in with approval rating similar to Bush's. A lot can happen in 8 or even 4 years. I do agree, that the bar has been set pretty high and I would even say unfairly high.
I am excited for the next four/eight years!!
His approval ratings are much higher than Bush's were when he took office in January 2001, my dear.
NPR on the day after inauguration reported that Pres. Obama's approval ratings were at 70% compared to President Bush's 65%.
