Books? That's my sister's department.

I've read 15 of the books listed below in their entirety. I don't really believe that the BBC really provided this list but anyways...

Have you read more than 6 of these books? The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books listed here.

Instructions: Bold those books you've read in their entirety, italicize the ones you started but didn't finish. Tag other book nerds.

If nothing else, it's a good way to pick some summer reading material!

I've read large parts of most of them. Almost finished some like The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Dog in the Night Time and The Hobbit.

Barely started others, like the first Harry Potter book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Inferno.

Others I've no recollection whether I finished them or not - Alice in Wonderland, The Wind in the Willows and Dune.

I definitely finished and re-read 1984 and Hitch Hiker, plus some Sherlock Holmes stories.

But what on earth is Bridget Jones' Diary and that pile of crap by Dan Brown doing there? And Atlas Shrugged? Rand manages to be more bombastic, shallower and a worse stylist than Alisdair Crowley, which before I read her, I thought impossible.

How come Stranger in a Strange Land isn't on the list - not that I think it's half a deep as is claimed, but it is a milestone. Same remark for The Little Prince. Hamlet occurs twice - an odd error.

I can't read multiple books over a long period of time. When I start a book, I will either finish it in a few days or I will put it down and probably not ever pick up again. I couldn't handle reading a few books at the same time when I was in college but that was out of necessity, not choice.

There are a number of books on the list that I will get to eventually.

I've read seven of those books...but there are many that I want to get to...I've read six of the seven Harry Potter series. But many of the books on this list are ones that I would read.
